2. What MedSathi is — and is not
MedSathi is:
- An AI-led health companion that helps you describe symptoms, generates a structured assessment, and obtains a prescription that has been reviewed and signed off by a licensed physician on our Doctor Network.
- A personal health record ("CuraGraph") that aggregates information you share or connect to the Services.
MedSathi is not:
- Not emergency care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency — chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe bleeding, suicidal thoughts, anaphylaxis, accidents, or any other acute danger — please call 108 (India) or your local emergency number, or go to the nearest hospital immediately. Do not rely on MedSathi in an emergency.
- Not a substitute for in-person clinical examination when one is medically necessary.
- Not itself a hospital, clinic, or registered medical practitioner. Neurobit is a technology platform. The doctors who review prescriptions are independent licensed physicians and are not employees of Neurobit.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older and legally capable of entering into a contract under Indian law to use MedSathi. If you are using MedSathi on behalf of a minor — for example, a parent managing a child's profile — you confirm that you are the legal guardian and that you consent on the minor's behalf.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep it updated. Please inform us promptly if you suspect any unauthorised use.
5. Medical disclaimer
The AI components of MedSathi (including "Dr. Sathi") provide information and decision support; they do not, by themselves, constitute medical advice. Every prescription is reviewed and approved by a registered medical practitioner before it is released to you. The clinical judgement you should rely on is that review — not the AI output alone.
You acknowledge that:
- AI systems may make mistakes. Even with doctor review, no consultation system is perfect.
- The accuracy of any assessment depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide.
- For any condition that worsens, persists, or causes serious concern, you should seek in-person care.
6. Doctor Network
Prescriptions issued through MedSathi are issued by independent licensed physicians registered with their respective State Medical Councils, operating in accordance with the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020 (issued by the Board of Governors in supersession of the Medical Council of India). The reviewing physician's name and registration number will appear on every prescription.
Neurobit facilitates the consultation; clinical responsibility for the prescription rests with the issuing physician.
7. Permitted use
You agree to use MedSathi only for lawful, personal, non-commercial healthcare purposes. You will not:
- Provide false identity information, impersonate another person, or attempt to obtain a prescription for someone other than yourself or a family member whose profile you legitimately manage.
- Attempt to obtain controlled substances, narcotic drugs, or scheduled medications outside of lawful telemedicine practice under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise misuse the Services.
- Upload malware, attempt to compromise our systems, or interfere with other users.
We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated.
8. Pricing and payments
The MedSathi app is currently distributed free of charge during early access. Where we introduce paid services, we will display the price, applicable taxes, and refund terms clearly before you commit, and a separate payment-terms notice may apply.
9. Intellectual property
The MedSathi software, brand, UI, and the "Dr. Sathi" and "CuraGraph" names and marks are the intellectual property of Neurobit. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal healthcare purposes only. Your own health data remains yours; we do not claim ownership of it.
10. Third-party integrations
MedSathi can connect to third-party services such as ABDM, Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit, and Garmin — only when you connect them. Each such service is governed by its own terms; we are not responsible for outages, errors, or data practices of those providers.
11. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Neurobit disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except as expressly stated in these Terms or required by law.
This does not limit any rights you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the rules notified thereunder (including the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020).
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Neurobit's aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed (a) the amounts you paid us for the Services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ₹10,000, whichever is greater. Neurobit will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for (i) death or personal injury caused by our negligence, (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or (iii) any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Neurobit harmless from claims, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or any third party's rights.
14. Termination
You may stop using MedSathi at any time and delete your account from the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if continued operation creates legal or safety risk, or if we discontinue the Service. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice and an opportunity to export your data before termination.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer-protection law, the courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Services.
Before approaching a court, you agree first to raise your concern through our grievance channel to give us a fair opportunity to resolve it.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app and on this page, with the "Last updated" date refreshed. Continued use of the Services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
